Intermediate Interior Design Position

Graham Baba Architects is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to develop, expand, and help lead an interior design practice within our multidisciplinary design firm. We work across a broad spectrum of design within architecture, interiors, furniture and lighting, master planning, and branding and experiential design; and within a wide variety of residential, commercial and institutional typologies. While rooted in our deep portfolio of interior architecture projects, our Interiors Studio as a formal entity is just one year old and is poised for growth in the sophistication and scale of projects it supports.

Position Description:
This newly created position is ideal for an experienced interior designer wishing to expand their career through leadership in establishment of our Interiors Studio. Our ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial in nature, comfortable in being part of developing new systems and processes to mature our interiors practice, while also bringing a keen design eye and interiors management experience to ongoing work within the office.

Qualifications:

·         Design and detail-oriented generalist interior designer with experience in a variety of residential and commercial projects

·         8-12+ years’ experience practicing Interior Design within Interior Design or Architectural Firms

·         Wide knowledge of building finishes and materials, fixtures, furniture, and decorative lighting

·         Experience in assembling furniture presentations and specification packages as well as all aspects of the furniture procurement process.

·         Solid written and graphics communications skills

·         Ability to manage an interiors project from inception to completion, either independently or with a team

·         Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

·         Demonstrated love for/experience in collaborating with team members and coordination of work with engineers and other consultants

·         A love of juggling multiple roles and project types/sizes, and the diversity of experience that can come from this

·         Excitement for being a part of a fun-loving firm and a desire to contribute and participate in office activities!

Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $102,000 with a generous benefits package. Final salary decisions are determined by local market, a candidate’s skillset, years of experience, and internal equity.

Graham Baba Architects (GBA) offers employees company paid medical, vision, dental, life, long-term disability insurance, and a company paid Orca card.  Employees may enroll in our 401(k) retirement plan with a company contribution and eligible employees receive a discretionary profit sharing contribution dependent upon Graham Baba’s profitability. Eligible employees also receive an annual discretionary performance bonus dependent upon the firm’s profitability.  Employees accrue 56 hours of sick/safe/personal PTO, 80 hours of vacation PTO, and GBA observes 8 paid holidays.
